BELSID was created from passions, to nurture talent, share, enjoy and be proud of our culture. It is a project that encourages us to invest time in doing things we love, generate creativity and prioritise equally with daily routines.
It is literature, music, entertainment and friendship.
Literature exposes the imagination of both the author and the reader, gleaning imagery that is unique. Racconti / short stories, an author’s expression of life between and in two countries.

Danilo Sidari è nato nel 1957 a Sanremo.
Prime esperienze letterarie nel 1990 a Taggia, dove vive, quando inizia la sua collaborazione quinquennale con il periodico U Pantan, emanazione del locale Centro Culturale Tabiese, con articoli ed interviste ad artisti del ponente ligure.
Nel 1995 si trasferisce in Australia, a Sydney, dove attualmente vive e lavora nel campo della promozione e della diffusione della cultura italiana.
Ha all’attivo collaborazioni pluriannuali con il mensile italo-australiano Nuovo Paese con articoli vari e con una colonna satirica; con La Fiamma e Il Globo, i quotidiani in lingua italiana più diffusi in Australia; con il sito web genovese Mentelocale.it . È stato premiato in diversi concorsi letterari sia in Australia che in Italia.
Dal 2007, in collaborazione con il pianista Mauro Colombis, si occupa della diffusione in Australia dei testi e delle musiche dei cantautori italiani, sia attraverso l’interpretazione personale che con l’organizzazione di concerti mirati. Nel 2014 con Colombis e il chitarrista Carlo Grana, ha dato vita al trio Mocambo Jam.
È impegnato attivamente nell'ambito della comunità italo-australiana locale. Ha pubblicato due raccolte di racconti brevi: Schizophrenia migrantis nel 2012 e Liguritudine nel 2015.
Danilo Sidari was born in 1957 in Sanremo, Italy.
He began writing in 1990 in Taggia, his home town, collaborating with the periodical U Pantan.
He migrated to Sydney, Australia in 1995 where he currently lives and works, promoting Italian culture. He has contributed to numerous Italian-Australian newspapers and magazines such as Nuovo Paese, La Fiamma and Il Globo as well a continuing to write for the Genovese online publication Mentelocale.it under his title of ‘Un taggiasco a Sydney’. Danilo has published two collections of short stories: Schizophrenia migrantis in 2012 and Liguritudine in 2015.
In 2007 Danilo teamed up with pianist Mauro Colombis, bringing the music of Italy’s greatest songwriters to Australia. In 2014, Danilo, Mauro and the guitarist Carlo Grana formed the trio Mocambo Jam continuing to keep alive the music of these great maestros.
